A very well attended Senior AGM was held in the Healy Room tonight with comprehensive reports being presented on all areas of the club.
Chairman Haulie Kerins, who was stepping down after 7 years in the hot seat, took the opportunity to thank a number of people who helped him during his tenure especially those volunteers who turn up week in, week out to ensure the smooth running of the club - this ranged from fundraising to grass cutting, from keeping minutes of meetings to promoting the club.
Haulie wished incoming chairman Oliver Molloy the very best for the future outlining the long and storied association the Molloy family have with the club - Oliver outlined his thanks to Haulie for his unbroken 11 years service to the club, first as secretary and then as chairman before declaring his pride at assuming the role as the new chairman.
Nora Corridon, juvenile PRO was a worthy recipient of Club Woman of the year as an acknowledgment of the outstanding work she not only did in the juveniles but also her input to the social media side of the club.
Reggie Griffin, another unsung hero, was awarded Club Man of the Year for his unstinting work in ensuring the pitches in Strand Road and Healy Park were always in tip top shape.
Declan Quill, vice chair, made presentations to both Haulie and Tony Corridon as they both vacate their respective positions.
