Kerins O’Rahillys’ U8 and U10 boys enjoyed a memorable trip to Cork at the weekend for a football event hosted by Bishopstown.

The U8s played Bishopstown and Ballinora, while the U10s took part in four games, including a match against the hosts. There was plenty of football on show across the day, with the boys enjoying the opportunity to meet new opposition and represent the club away from home.

The Kerins O'Rahillys groups played with great spirit and the day was enjoyed by all involved. The players were a credit to the club throughout the visit, both on and off the pitch.

The club thanks Bishopstown for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality throughout the day. The hosts left no stone unturned in making the visit enjoyable for the visiting teams. Kerins O'Rahillys looks forward to welcoming Bishopstown for a return visit next spring.

Back at home, Academy training was also very well attended. It was especially encouraging to see so many young players taking part while the U8 and U10 groups were away in Cork. It was a warm morning, but plenty of water kept everyone going as the young players enjoyed their session.

Everyone involved enjoyed a busy morning of football, and well done to the players, coaches and parents who helped make both activities possible.

The Cork trip and Academy session made for a very positive weekend for juvenile football at Kerins O’Rahillys. Well done to all involved.
