County Senior Championship – St. Brendan’s
Hard luck to our Kerins O’Rahillys players involved with St. Brendan’s, who bowed out of the Kerry Senior Football County Championship following a 2-12 to 0-9 defeat against North Kerry.
Well done to all our players on representing the club with great commitment throughout the campaign, and credit to club man Micheál Quirke and his management team for their tremendous effort and dedication.
Juvenile Action
U16 Boys Reach District Shield Final: Congratulations to our U16 boys, who produced an outstanding performance under the lights at Strand Road to secure their place in the Tralee/St. Brendan’s District Championship Shield Final. The lads registered an impressive 4-25 to 1-10 win over St. Pat’s Blennerville/Castlegregory. Best of luck to the squad and management in the upcoming final!
U10 All-Ireland Trip to St. Jude’s: Our U10 boys enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Dublin to compete in the prestigious St. Jude’s GAA Mini All-Ireland tournament. Travelling up together by coach, the lads paraded to the pitches with a fireworks display before Amhrán na bhFiann. Team 1 competed in the Conor Connelly Cup, winning five games on the trot—beating Truagh of Monaghan, Ratoath of Meath, Ballyboden of Dublin, Naas of Kildare and Maynooth of Kildare—before narrowly succumbing to Blackhall Gaels in the semi-final. Team 2 competed in the Mick Fallon Cup, facing St. Vincent’s of Offaly, Ratoath of Meath, Portlaoise of Laois, St. Jude’s of Dublin and Ballyboden of Dublin, before also bowing out at the semi-final stage to hosts St. Jude’s. With a memorable stop on the way home, it was a fantastic experience for the players, coaches and travelling families. Sincere thanks to CLG Naomh Jude for a superbly organised day.
Sunday Academy & Juvenile Football: Pat Healy Park was a hive of activity on Sunday morning. Alongside our regular academy, we hosted Churchill and Tralee John Mitchels for very well-contested games involving our U10 girls and U8 boys respectively. Earlier in the week, our U8 boys also welcomed Na Gaeil to Pat Healy Park for a cracking, highly competitive match which showcased some excellent football skills.
Gaelic4Mothers&Others – London Calling!
Our Mothers & Others welcomed Dingle to Strand Road on Monday evening for their final match before their upcoming trip to London on October 2nd. It was a fantastic game filled with great skill, teamwork and progress, with everyone showing wonderful confidence in their positions.
Thank you to Dingle for travelling in. The countdown is officially on for the trip across the water—safe travels to everyone heading over for what promises to be a memorable weekend of football and fun!
Upcoming Fixture – Junior League Shield Final
Our Senior B team will face Ballymac in the Tralee/St. Brendan’s Junior League Shield Final over the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.
