There was a fantastic turnout at Strand Road on Sunday morning as the Kerins O’Rahillys Juvenile Academy celebrated the end of the 2026 season with a Family Fun Day.

Despite the threat of rain, the weather held up and the children enjoyed a brilliant morning of football, games and fun, with plenty of smiles all around.

Our U6, U8 and U10 boys and girls rotated between a series of activity stations throughout the morning, taking on the obstacle course, penalty shootout, tug of war, crossbar challenge and inflatable games provided by It's My Party.

As the groups moved between stations, each took a turn visiting the main stand for a special medal presentation with Kerry senior footballers Tomás Kennedy and Darragh O'Connor.

It was a lovely opportunity for the children to celebrate their achievements, thank their parents and coaches for all their support throughout the year, and have photographs taken with the two Kerry stars.

A huge thank you to Tomás and Darragh for giving their time and making the occasion so special for our young footballers.

Special thanks also to Mags and all the staff at Charlie's Café, who generously provided complimentary tea, coffee and snacks throughout the morning, and to Frank O'Connor for his help getting everything set up on Sunday morning.

We are also extremely grateful to the Juvenile Academy organisers, coaches and volunteers whose hard work made the event possible, and to It's My Party for providing the inflatable games.

Finally, thank you to all the parents and families for their continued support throughout the 2026 season. It has been a fantastic year for our young footballers, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another great season in 2027.

Enjoy our photos and videos from a memorable morning at Strand Road! 💙🤍
