There were smiles and handshakes all round this evening in Strand Road as the winners in our recent Masters Challenge were presented with their prizes.
Seán Duggan, a former under age player with the club was the overall winner with a score of (-41) which netted him first prize of €750 - Seán’s trump card proved to be Bruce Koepka and though the American did not take the green jacket, his inclusion in Seán’s sextet was enough to get him over the line.
Jordan Foley was four shots behind in 2nd place and he also got a good run for his money being in contention for most of Sunday - he walked away €150 richer.
Club stalwart Ger “ Mazie” Moran was a shot worse off in 3rd place and took away €100.
Club chairman Haulie Kerins congratulated the winners and thanked all who participated making this fundraiser the best since its inception - he was fulsome in his praise of everyone who sold and bought tickets and expressed his gratitude to the Finance & Development committee who coordinated and managed the event from the beginning in mid March.
