Tonight we announce the end of an era but the commencement of a whole new journey.
Our former player and mentor Mossie Kelly, of Kerries Golf Range has been the main club sponsor for the past few years for which we are most grateful.
Mossie has, in the past few months, ceased trading and we wish him all the best in his retirement.
We are delighted to formally announce tonight that we have entered into a new partnership with Higgins Waste and Recycling Services Ltd as our new main club sponsor, a deal which has been agreed on for the next 3 years. This is a substantial deal and the club is delighted with it.
To be honest , it was a deal that was straightforward and uncomplicated to complete given the long, unstinting support of the Higgins family to the club and we express our genuine and heartfelt gratitude to John, Jacqueline, Brian and Seán in this regard. They are true blues and loyal supporters.
This partnership will be more than having a name on jerseys as it will provide us with the opportunities to continue to provide the best of facilities for all our playing members from the juvenile academy to our senior players.
Seán Higgins, on presenting the kit said " We are delighted to come on board as the title sponsor of Kerins O Rahilly’s for the next three years, reinforcing and strengthening our overall investment in sport in Kerry and the local community.
We, as a family, have all directly benefited from the countless hours volunteers have given to the club and sport in Kerry and we are committed to assisting in the continued development of our communities through sport"
Our senior footballers will wear their new jerseys starting next Sunday, when we welcome Spa to Strand Road for our division 1 league game and we wish the team and management all the best for the year ahead.
