Our winning run continued in Div 6 last night when we got the better of Firies in a tense encounter.
We got off to the perfect start with green flags from Gazza & Sam but by half time Firies, 2nd in the table, had worked their way back into the game & led by the minimum, 1-06 to 2-02.

We started the 2nd half in determined mood & wrestled back control with good scores from Gazza & Daniel Bowler - a Fenton Collins goal was immediately negated by a similar Firies score but, we held our composure & when Gazza pointed from distance for his fourth point of the game, it was enough to see us home.

Overall, this was a great team effort with our defence solid, Fenton & Daniel Nix giving us a an edge at midfield & Gazza, Daniel Bowler & Paudie Griffin excelling up front.
