Barry John Keane

Goal Poacher

Barry John has been a star for the club at all grades since he first donned a blue jersey coming to the notice of the Kerry minor selectors in 2008 making 6 appearances in total and notching 12 points in total in these games.
He quickly advanced to the U-21 grade making a total of 4 appearances from centre forward at time when Kerry failed to make it past Munster. He made his first league appearance in 2010 when coming in as a sub in a losing debut vs Dublin and has since then donned the green and gold over 50 times in league and championship.
Whilst he craves playing for his county, his heart always beats faster when in the blue of Strand Rd and always gives his all.
A grandson of the legendary John Dowling, All Ireland winning Kerry captain in 1955 vs Dublin, Barry John is a regular around Strand Rd & Healy Park and is always willing to lend a hand or helpful piece of advice to our young players.
