Seniors:
Following our win last weekend over Dr Crokes, the draw for the quarter finals will see us vie with local divisional side St Brendans ( impressive 3-18 to 1-18 winners over Mid Kerry on Sunday last) for a place in this year’s semi finals; this promises to be an enthralling game given that both sets of players would be very familiar with each others play. St Brendans can call on many players who have worn the county jersey at various levels with the likes of Jack & Andrew Barry, Sean Moloney, Stefan Okunbor, Diarmuid O’Connor, Brandon Barrett all available to them.
The game will be played on weekend of 29/30th Sept at a venue to be decided at an upcoming meeting of the CCC.

Charlie’s Bar Golf Society:
A great day in Ceann Sibeál last Saturday for Declan Quill’s captains prize; from leaving the club house at 11.30 to arrival home on Sat night the craic was electric and everybody who played had a hugely enjoyable day. The weather, though turning nasty late on with wind and driving rain did little to dampen the enthusiasm as many of the participants had often experienced these conditions on the football pitch!
Micheál Quirke, believed to have spent two days practising for this event (!) was the big winner taking home Declan’s prize with a score of 40 points. Other winners on the day were brothers Tom & Martin Nix who were joined by Wayne Guthrie in winning the team prize with Anna Keane taking the longest drive accolade and Mike O’Halloran nearest the pin – as stated, a great day out back west and well done to all who played and the bus driver who also added to the fun of the day.
Charlie’s Bar continues to provide top class food and drink in comfortable surroundings with meeting rooms available for all occasions – give Mike a call on 7124956 with your requirements.
