Seniors:
Division 5 Group A:
Charlie Kerins:
We are away to Duagh on Friday night next 22nd June @ 19.30 when we take on the locals.
Munster Finals:
Next weekend sees both Kerry senior and minor teams take part in the Munster finals on Sat evening in the newly revamped Pairc Ui Chaoimh; following the seniors emphatic win over Clare there is an air of excitement around the county now that we can maybe challenge for this year’s All Ireland – for their part, Cork will not want to see a repetition of 1976 when following the reopening of the ” Park” Kerry won after a replay in extra time in a game that had much controversy, most notably our own Seanie Walsh’s goal when his shot was adjudged to have been taken over the line by a Cork defender following a quick free kick from Mikey Sheehy, a score that was hotly disputed by the Rebels.
Throw in is @ 19.00 and we would like to wish David, Barry John and Jack all the best on the night.
Earlier in the day, @ 16.30, our minors will take on Clare hoping to make it 6 titles in a row at this grade – this is a remarkable achievement and based on form to date, they should be good enough to take the honours – best of luck to Peter Keane, his management team of Tommy Griffin and James Foley and the team in their quest for glory.
Please note traffic restrictions will be in place on Sat night in and around the stadium with Gardaí advising patrons to park in the city and take a shuttle bus to the stadium or alternatively to use public transport via the 202 bus.
Kerry U-20s:
Kerry will host Waterford this coming Friday night ( 22nd) in the Munster semi final following their facile win over Limerick on Friday night last; their tally of 1-30 tells its own story and despite the paucity of the opposition it is obvious that this is a serious team with a lot of work done. Well done to our own Alan O’Sullivan, physical trainer, the team and management on this win. Friday night’s game will throw in @ 19.30 in Austin Stack Park.
