This weekend we will wear our new away jersey made from recycled materials when we play Shannon Rangers tomorrow evening in the county senior championship.

Designed in memory of club father figure Charlie Kerins, the jersey is a collaboration between club sponsor Higgins Waste & Recycling and local storytelling agency Keohane Athletic Club.

Specially commissioned, the jersey features the Kerins family crest opposite the club crest instead of the Keohane logo. It also carries a repeat fingerprint throughout the jersey.

Known as The Boy From Tralee, Kerins was noted for his bravery and intelligence as a leader both locally and nationally. 

The use of 90% recycled materials keeps us mindful of our collective responsibility to our local community and the wider environment while remembering our roots no matter where we travel.
