Fundraising has been in full swing within the club since the start of the year.
Fundraising serves as a crucial tool for sports programmes to bridge the gap between existing resources and the increasing demands for improved facilities and equipment.
We have engaged with supporters, community members and sponsors to ensure our members have access to the best of facilities.
The benefits of fundraising are many:
- Enhances the sports experience
- Supports inclusivity
- Fosters community engagement
The sports experience is enhanced by providing access to more modern equipment, bringing children and adults together to rally behind a common cause and strengthening ties within our community.
Over the coming months the benefits of fundraising will be unveiled with improvements to Healy Park, the provision of a brand new gym and other upgrades as funds will allow.
The foregoing has been facilitated by the weekly lotto, the 10k run, Last Man Standing and the Augusta Masters challenge - these are the pillars of our fundraising efforts and their importance to the running of the club cannot be understated.
This year we were able to host a fundraising golf classic thanks to the committee of Tralee GC who allowed us the use of the course free of charge for a day.
The event was the biggest ever club fundraiser and while it generated a very handsome sum it also showcased the club in a very positive manner and increased our reach and profile.
We are indebted to all of you who have contributed and continue to contribute to our efforts - without your help it would not be possible.
