'Tá an áthas orm an corn seo a glacadh' are the immortal words that Gaelic games players and supporters wish to hear when their county or club win the silverware.

This second series of Scéalta na gCorn sees Gráinne McElwain on the road again, exploring the fascinating stories behind the trophies presented for competition, from underage matches through to All-Ireland championships. Gráinne meets past and present players, referees and managers, as well as the grassroots supporters and family members who all have a unique story to tell about a cherished trophy.

This week's show, to be aired on Weds night 12th next at 8.30 pm will see Grainne visit Kerry where, she will visit various venues to discuss the history and origins of trophies.

She visits Strand Road and chats to Aedamar Ní Neill to delve into the history surrounding the Sandra Keane Cup, a competition for U13 girls which is dedicated to the memory of the late Sandra Keane and in existence since 2013.

Sandra was an inspiration to all who knew her through her positive outlook on life and who received a very special and well deserved award for her bravery at the Share a Dream Foundation Children of Courage awards in 2006.

Don't forget to tune in on Weds night next on TG4.
