The Kerry minor girls will be hoping to bridge a 29 year gap when they take on Cavan on Saturday next, 27th July in the LGFA Minor 'A' final which will be played in O'Connor Park, Tullamore - throw in is @ 2 pm
We will be represented on the day by Kelly Fitzgerald and Aoibhín O'Connor McCarthy who are an integral part of the squad.
Kerry last won this competition in 1995 but have shown great skill and no little resilience to reach this year's final.
The Munster championship saw them contest the final vs Cork, to whom they already had lost, but they were not to be denied coming out on top on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-13.
The semi final saw them rack up a big score vs Galway when winning 6-08 to 1-10; Cavan will be formidable opponents having won the U16A All Ireland last year but if the girls play to their potential they could very well carry the day.
We would like to wish Kelly and Aoibhín the very best in their quest to bring home All Ireland medals.
