The competitiveness of the national league was exemplified with Donegal gaining a last minute draw with a Peadar Mogan two pointer and Mayo's one point victory in Castlebar.

The results yesterday saw a further 31 entrants bite the dust with which leaves 145 competitors still standing as we enter round 6.

Kerry at home to Mayo are many people's picks in round 6 with Dublin ( home to Armagh) and Tyrone ( away to Meath) next in line - Derry, with their massive score yesterday ( 34 points) will be up against it when they travel to Ardee to play Louth.

All in all, it promises to be a great finale as we head up the home straight.
