The third round of the Augusta Masters is complete, and "Moving Day" certainly lived up to its expectations! With the final round looming, our Kerins O'Rahillys Masters Challenge leaderboard has seen a massive shakeup at the very top.
Action at Augusta: Surges and Slumps
Out on the course, Rory McIlroy remains in prime position, sitting at an excellent -11. However, he has been joined at the top by Cameron Young, who has surged into serious contention to also sit at -11. Ireland's Shane Lowry had a phenomenal Saturday, catapulting himself up the leaderboard to sit right behind the leaders at -9.
Tournament favourite Scottie Scheffler also made a huge push on Moving Day, battling his way back to reach -7. Justin Rose and Jason Day are both firmly in the hunt, sitting ominously at -8.
On the flip side, some popular picks are costing our entrants dearly. Jon Rahm continues to struggle heavily, sitting at +5. Meanwhile, the devastating 10-shot missed-cut penalties from Friday continue to completely anchor down many teams, with Bryson DeChambeau leaving his backers with a score of 16 and Min Woo Lee burdening his selectors with a massive score of 21.
The Strand Road Leaderboard
Saturday's action caused absolute chaos at the top of our club competition. Yesterday's sole leader, Ollie Lynch (-45), has been overtaken and drops into 3rd place.
We have a new team at the summit! Here is the top of the leaderboard heading into Masters Sunday:

The Final Sunday Showdown
With Rusty and Moody sitting on a narrow two-shot lead at -48, they are in the driving seat for our €750 First Prize. However, with Susan Kelly and Ollie Lynch breathing down their necks , and a massive chasing pack of six players tied for 4th at -44, absolutely nothing is guaranteed. One stray tee shot into the water at Amen Corner today could swing the entire club competition and drop the leaders out of the prize money entirely!
