This year, however, the event carries a special and heartfelt significance as we dedicate it to the memory of Brenda O'Connell, nee Hartnett , a much-loved member of our club and community who sadly passed away in late 2023.
Brenda’s presence lit up every gathering she attended. Her warm smile, unwavering kindness, and genuine passion for helping others made her a cherished friend, colleague, and neighbour.
Brenda's husband Padraig, along with daughters, Aoife & Aisling were present for the launch today as well as members of the Hartnett family including her mother Mary and brother Martin.
Padraig thanked the club for honouring Brenda's memory and is most grateful that a monetary contribution will be made from funds raised for Kerry Cancer Support Services.
We invite everyone—from seasoned runners to first-time participants—to join us in celebrating Brenda’s remarkable life and legacy.
Brenda’s memory lives on in all of us, and through this event, we aim to honor her legacy in a way that she would have loved—bringing people together to move, laugh, and make a difference.
We look forward to seeing you on the 26th!!
